| Alycia Carlson- Director & Founder | ||
|
Founder and director of Joyful Motion, Miss Alycia has been dancing for more than 30 years and has been teaching for more than 20. She has studied all over the East Coast training in the areas of Classical Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Character and many other dance froms. She also has attended many teaching seminars and workshops to enhance her knowledge of dance and dance instruction. During her career she has taught for private studios, schools, daycare centers, camps, theatre groups and recreation centers. Miss Alycia is also director of the JMDT; our competitive team which has done consistently well in regional competitions since it’s inception in 2001. When not in the studio Miss Alycia runs Joyful Motion from her home office and enjoys being the mother of two very active boys! |

Miss Jenae been dancing and loving it since she was a little girl. She has studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop and many other dance forms. As a student she was a two time recipient of the Maryland Dance Council Teachers Choice Award. It is appearant to all that Miss Jenae's first love is dance and she thrills in sharing the art of with with our youth. She has recently had the honor of appearing as a dancer in the movie "Step Up Two" and was also a member of the Kennedy Centers Hip Hop Dance Company for two years. Miss Jenae holds a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Education and enjoys working as a home based therapist with Autistic children in addition to teaching dance here at Joyful Motion. |

| Nicole McGurl - Instructor | ||

Miss Nicole has danced her whole life and taken classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, African, Irish, Swing, and Ballroom dance. She started dancing at a private studio and from there she danced with her high school's dance company. Once in college she began performing with Aurora, a multi-cultural dance company based at Howard Community College. Nicole has been on the Joyful Motion staff for seven years. During the day Miss Nicole works in Montgomery County as an Elementary School teacher. She is also the proud mommy of two children ... a pre-school aged girl who dances with JMD and a baby boy who just turned one! Congratulations Miss Nicole! |

| Tiffany Arnold - Instructor | ||
| Tiffany Arnold has been dancing, coaching, and teaching for many years. She has been involved in gymnastics, hip hop, Afro-Brazilian dance and theatre, and she loves working with the students at Joyful Motion! Personally, Tiffany loves gymnastics and performing hip-hop dance and stays involved in the VA/DC/MD area. She has danced with N'ferno, DC Divas and is currently working with Lady Day on her stage show and summer tour. Tiffany is very energetic, enthusiastic, positive and is an awesome role model for all her hip-hop students! She is currently a teacher at a Charter School in DC where she coaches a successful dance team and teaches Geography and World Cultures. . |
